Lithuania Follow Up

Lithuania Follow Up

Lithuanian participants made 2 participants in the organization, as follows:

1st follow-Up Activity 2023 (10–17)

For this date, an event was planned in JLC, inviting the Ukmerge's community, including young visitors. We had many activities planned and among them participants of the Erasmus+ youth exchange project 'Culture and Arts for Inclusion' had a time space and opportunity to do their first follow-up activity. After the discussions in the participants group, they decided that mandala's making workshop could be a very nice and suitable activity during this event, as they had learned it during the project in Cyprus.

For this activity, young participants needed to buy wooden sticks and find colourful threads. And it was finally well organised. When the time for the activity came, they invited all the guests to join the workshop. For our surprise, a big circle of people gathered around and sat in a circle for this meditative activity, during which participants did not only explained and showed the technique, but shared their experience and insights from the youth exchange. Every mandala looked unique and atmosphere in The room was very nice.

When the activity finished, some of the participants took their mandala's home; the others left it for the centre to exhibit it. As the event was dedicated to the terrace of JLC opening, mandalas were hanged outside for all the visitors to see and appreciate. This activity was worthy for the people that joined the activity and for those who taught how to do it and for many others who were just passersby, as they have learned by example of seeing people enjoying, meditating, talking and making handcrafted decoration.

2nd Follow-Up Activity 2023 (12/15)

For this follow-up activity after the After discussion with participants, we have decided to make a photography exhibition from Cyprus youth exchange. Youth worker and the leader during this project Ingrida Pociute took photos of young people and activities that were performed. All together, there were a lot of photos taken because we have visited Nicosia. Limassol and Pissouri were also so evident that everybody had an amazing time and the place where the project took place was very beautiful.

The selected photos were printed on cards and One of them was made into a poster, which was put in a big frame. The poster also had a sentence about M. L. King, who fought for human rights. There were a lot of photos, which were colourful and suited to our kitchen, were visitors joining each other around the tables.

The participants of the project were invited for this exciting photo exhibition, because prior to it they hadn't seen it. They were curious and praised the photos when they saw it. It reminded me of some time of their lives, which was astonishing and had a powerful effect. After we shared our memories with participants; we also shared most funny situations. some that were not told yet. It was so good to meet young participants again. because a strong bond of friendship was established. As more young people gathered, participants taught them an energiser, which they performed all together. This follow-up activity had impacted in different ways the participants themselves, young people that were there that day and all other people that will visit the centre as photo exhibition will surely inspire and show how valuable, we can spend our time.

Evaluation and feedback from the participants

  1. Liudgirdas Pavelcikas: In this project, I learned a lot of new and different things, I learned that working in a team is fun and easier than working alone. In the Erasmus project, there was a lot of team work, we danced a lot and had fun. I liked working in a team most, as you had to move people to the other side through a rope. It was not easy, but with friends in a team, everything was possible. I liked the dances, it was interesting to learn the national dances of other countries. I felt happy and refreshed in the project. In this Erasmus project, I discovered my my talents, I understood what a true friend is and what it means to help one another. Thanks for everything Nikolas, we love you.
